Thermalright solved the problem with applying thermal paste to the processor (2 photos)

Taiwanese company Thermalright, specializing in the production of cooling systems for desktop computers, decided once and for all to put an end to all disputes about the amount of thermal paste and how to apply it to the processor. As an alternative, she released a thermal pad that even an inexperienced user can install.

Applying thermal paste to a processor is a whole science, causing a lot of controversy among users. Some advise not to overdo it, others recommend not to spare the material, not to mention the most different ways of applying to the CPU. Thermalright, which, among other things, produces thermal paste, announced the Helios thermal pad, designed to simplify this process as much as possible. This is a pre-made 0.2mm thick layer of thermal paste that just needs to be applied to the base of the heatsink before being installed on the processor.

Thermalright claims that this thermal padeasy to use with any combination of CPU and heatsink. It released two versions - for AMD and Intel chips, due to size differences between the two platforms. The specifications indicate a thermal conductivity of 8.5 W/mK and a thermal resistance of 0.04 °C cm²/W. At the same time, the company notes that the thermal pad should not be used if serious overclocking of the processor is planned - in such cases, a more efficient solution is needed.
