Mark Gurman: Apple is actively working on mixed reality software

Rumor has it that Apple will introduce its own mixed reality headset in 2023. According to

well-known Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman, the mostthe big problem facing the company is content and software, according to the GSMArena portal. Now there are job listings for employees who will work in the technology development team for the new headset. Key executives, both former and current, are transferred to a mixed reality project codenamed Oak. Dave Scott, a former Apple senior manager who worked on the self-driving car team, has now joined the headset team. Yaniv Gur, who worked at Apple for 20 years as a senior director of engineering, was also promoted to "develop a suite of productivity apps."

Apple is looking for people who can work oncreating "tools and frameworks to enable interaction in the 3D world of mixed reality" and "who can create digital content for augmented and virtual reality environments." The new product, which is expected next year, is rumored to be extremely expensive and initially aimed at professional users and developers.
