Flagships “cheaper” – Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 + (3 photos)


Samsung held its annual Galaxy Unpacked presentation, which featured the Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones and cheaper flagships, the Galaxy S23 and S23+.

Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ have similar to S23Ultra design. At the same time, the base model received a 6.1-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and FullHD resolution. The Plus version has everything the same, only the screen size is 6.6 inches.


The peak brightness of the displays of both models is 1750 nits, which is noticeably better than the previous 1300 nits in the S22.

New products based on the Snapdragon 8 processorGen 2, like the oldest model. At the same time, the battery capacity of both devices has increased - up to 3900 mAh for the S23 and 4700 mAh for the S23 +. The devices also received updated 12-megapixel front cameras with autofocus and HDR-video shooting at a frequency of 60 fps.


The main cameras remain the same - here are the same 50-, 12- and 10-megapixel modules. True, Samsung said that Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 improved the quality of the resulting photos.

The S23 starts at $799 for the 8/128GB version, while the S23+ starts at $999 for the 8/256GB version. As in the case of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the start of sales is scheduled for February 17th.
