Announcement. OnePlus 12 is a flagship, just a flagship

A presentation was held in China, during which the long-awaited flagship smartphone OnePlus 12 was presented. Everything is fair, everything is boring. Absolutely top and no surprises.

The top filling is the most powerful of the current chipsets, i.e. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

Lots of memory, fast memory. From 12 to 24 GB RAM, from 256 GB to 1 TB permanent. Of course, there is no support for memory cards.

Top screen.LTPO AMOLED, covered with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Diagonal 6.82″ (113 cm²), indecently high resolution 510 ppi (1440×3168), refresh rate 1-120 Hz. Marketing peak brightness is 4500 nits (someone stop them, will you?)

Battery? Great too. Large, 5400 mAh. With 50W wireless charging. Wired charging is twice as fast – 100 W.

Cameras. 32 MP front, 50+64+48 MP rear.

  • 50 MP – main camera on Sony LYT-T808 sensor. The same one that is used in the twin tablet smartphones OPPO Find N3 / OnePlus Open. There is optical stabilization, of course.
  • 64 MP – telephoto periscope with three times optical zoom. Optostabilization is also available.
  • 48 MP – wide-angle camera. Also trained in macro photography.

Other. There is an NFC module, an under-screen fingerprint scanner, and an IR blaster. Wi-Fi 7 is supported. Protection against water and dust is declared, but not full, but only IP65. Those. We’re not particularly afraid of rain, but it’s better not to drop it in puddles.

Despite the fact that the current OnePlus 12 is native Chinese (there will, of course, be a global version, but later), there is support for all the LTE bands we need.

And about money. ¥4299 (₽54600, $602), ¥4799 (₽60900, $672), ¥5299 (₽67200, $742) and ¥5799 (₽73600, $812) for versions 12+256, 16+512, 16+1024 and 24 +1024 GB respectively.
