Sony is developing PlayStation Vita 2? (video)

Once upon a time, portable consoles were popular.Alas, in the 2010s they were slowly replaced by mobile devices, and now they try not to remember them at all - in fact, why spend money on developing special hardware when the latest versions of the iPhone are capable of running Death Stranding? However, judging by the latest round of rumors, the PlayStation authors still have an ace up their sleeve.

The author of the YouTube channel Moore’s Law Is Dead said, that Sony is developing the PlayStation Vita 2. The gadget is allegedly at an early stage of production, will use an AMD APU with 18 computing units (frequency of about 1.8 GHz), and in addition to its unique library of games will be able to run PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 titles. If The project will still be given the green light; Vita 2 will become part of the PlayStation 6 family.

Recall that the original PlayStation Vita came outin 2011. Unfortunately, despite the advanced hardware for its time, the console never became a bestseller. In its native Japan, it enjoyed relative popularity, but in the West, Sony had already stopped actively supporting its creation by 2015 (indie developers who willingly ported recent and not so recent releases to the Vita took the rap for the company).
