Revenue of the Russian Internet trade in March of the current year grew by 22.7%

In March this year, e-commerce revenue in Russia increased by 22.7%, reaching the level of 1.117 trillion rubles.

This is confirmed by data from the federal taxservice (FTS) of Russia. In March, 1.2 billion checks were processed, which corresponds to an increase of 14.9%. At the same time, it is noted that the average check in online commerce in March increased and amounted to 923 rubles compared to 864 rubles in February. According to the information provided by Artem Sokolov, President of the Association of Internet Commerce Companies (AKIT), the growth of the Russian Internet commerce market last year amounted to 33%. The interest of Russians in the use of Internet commerce is growing against the backdrop of a decrease in traffic and turnover of traditional trade and in the face of a decrease in the level of income of Russians. The share of e-commerce in the total volume of retail trade increased by the end of the year and amounted to 11.6% compared to 9.2% at the beginning of last year.
