Nokia applied to the US regulator for approval for the supply of telecommunications equipment to Russia

Nokia turned to the American regulator - the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and in

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finlandapproval for the supply of telecommunications equipment to Russia. In this case, we are talking about the supply of spare parts necessary to maintain the equipment already delivered during the duration of the service contracts. Nokia has stated that it intends to carry out a responsible exit from the Russian market, having previously completed its contractual obligations. Nokia does not supply new equipment and transfers R&D activities outside of Russia. The company turned to regulators in the United States and Finland in order to avoid falling under sanctions due to the supply of high-tech equipment. The company intends to leave all its offices in Russia before the end of the year, and formally its activities will be completed after the legal closure.
