iPhone 15 Pro Max: details about the smartphone's camera finally became known

Apple will release the 15th generation of iPhones this fall. The series will include two younger models - iPhone 15

and 15 Plus, as well as older iPhone 15 Pro and 15Pro Max (the latter may come out as the iPhone 15 Ultra). Previously, leaks appeared on the network revealing the first details about smartphones, and now the Ice Universe informant has published details about the iPhone 15 Pro Max (Ultra) camera. According to these data, the smartphone will be equipped with "the largest image sensor that the iPhone has ever had." This is expected to be a Sony IMX903 with a size of 1/1.14 inches (for comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro Max has a Sony IMX803 sensor with a smaller size of 1/1.28 inches). The resolution of the sensor will remain the same - 48 MP. A larger sensor will help the future iPhone capture more light, resulting in better detail when shooting in low light. However, it is worth noting that a 1/1.14-inch camera is not the most advanced option: Android flagships (for example, Xiaomi 13 Ultra, OPPO Find X6 Pro, Vivo X90 Pro and others) have long been equipped with 1-inch Sony IMX989 sensors .

As for other iPhone 15 camera featuresPro Max, it is claimed that the smartphone's 12MP telephoto lens will support 6x optical zoom, which is much higher than the 14 Pro Max with its 3x zoom. Paired with a telephoto lens will be a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a LiDAR laser sensor, and an LED flash. The resolution of the front camera will also be 12 MP (autofocus support is announced).

Let's add that the iPhone 15 Pro Max will offer6.7" OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 2000 nits peak brightness. The smartphone will be powered by the Apple A17 Bionic chipset. Fast wired charging with a power of 20 W will be connected to the USB Type-C connector (it will also be possible to charge via MagSafe with a power of 15 W and wirelessly at 7.5 W). For greater strength, the frame of the smartphone will be made of titanium.
