Mediatek Expands Processor SeriesHelio P and announces the launch of the Helio P95 mobile chip. The novelty is a slightly more productive version of the previous Helio P90 processor, designed for use in mid-range devices.
The main technical characteristic that distinguishesHelio P95 from its predecessor is the ability to work with cameras with a resolution of 64 megapixels, while the Helio P90 only supported 48 megapixel sensors. The developers also announced a 10% increase in data processing performance using the neural engine APU 2.0. At the same time, additional AI functions are introduced, such as monitoring the poses of five people, creating avatars of augmented reality and the ability to recognize standard objects or scenes. As a result, the manufacturer announced the creation of the most powerful artificial intelligence used in modern smartphones.
The Helio P95 processor is based on 12 nm technology, received 8 cores (Cortex-A55 and Cortex-A75) with a peak frequency of 2.2 GHz. The video accelerator in the chip is MG Power GM 9446 using the maximum frequency of 1866 MHz. The processor can support a choice of either one 64 megapixel camera or two with a resolution of 24 and 16 megapixels. The flash drive supports the UFS 2.1 standard. Technical parameters allow you to support a display with a resolution of 2520 × 1080 (Full HD +), Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.0.
It is currently unclear when and on which devices the new Mediatek Helio P95 processor will be used.
