Recently, the Chinese company DJI presentedcompact action camera, which becomes a logical continuation of the series launched two years ago in 2019 with the Osmo Action camera. DJI's main area of ​​interest is the design and manufacture of multicopters. DJI Action 2 camera empowers users and is designed for extreme shooting during outdoor activities, during sports and hiking trips.


The new DJI Action 2 camera is housed in a smallcase with a square front surface. The overall dimensions of the action camera are only 39 × 39 × 22.3 mm and the weight of the device is 56 grams. The aluminum alloy housing provides protection against moisture penetration and allows shooting at depths of up to 10 meters. By placing the DJI Action 2 in a sealed box, the shooting depth can be increased up to 60 meters.


The camera's OLED touch screen has a diagonal of 1.76inches with a resolution of 446 × 424 (350 ppi) at a brightness of 500 nits. The camera has a sensor with a resolution of 12 megapixels (1 / 1.7 inches CMOS). The angle of view of the lens (f / 2.8) is 155 degrees.

DJI Action 2 camera is capable of recording4K video at 120 frames per second, and in 1080p resolution - up to 240 frames per second. Supports electronic stabilization technology RockSteady 2.0, which provides horizon leveling using the HorizonSteady system.


Autonomous work for 70 minutes (at1080p / 30fps video recording) is provided by a 580mAh LiPo 1S battery. The camera is equipped with magnetic mounts, which will quickly expand the capabilities of the device. In particular, you can connect an additional battery and increase the battery life up to 180 minutes. Shooting blogs and creating original content will be provided by a plug-in additional screen. The magnetic mount will also allow you to mount the DJI Action 2 to the hood of your vehicle.
