Demand for the new iPhone 14 line in Russia was 2.5 times lower compared to last year

Since the start of sales of the new line of iPhone 14 smartphones in September and until mid-November, it was sold in Russia

about 400,000 iPhone smartphones, which turned out to be60% less than the sales of the iPhone 13 line a year earlier, when sales in this period exceeded 1 million units. Such figures are given by the press service of the distribution company Marvel Distribution. At the same time, it is noted that the demand for iPhone smartphones as a whole decreased over this year by 35.2%. Sales from January to November of this year amounted to 2.96 million iPhones. Similar trends are confirmed by a representative of the mobile operator Tele2 - sales in the operator's network have decreased by 17% this year. Among the main reasons for the decline in demand for the iPhone, in addition to the high price of the device, there are also problems using iPhone smartphones to make contactless payments and difficulties with replenishing an Apple ID account. The lack of an official manufacturer's guarantee also negatively affects demand, since the guarantees for models supplied by parallel imports are provided directly by the sellers.
