CES 2020: Caterpillar Cat S32

Caterpillar showed in Las VegasAnother secure smartphone is the Cat S32 model. He does not represent anything outstanding - a rather weak device, except with a more or less capacious battery. The chipset is interesting - previously nothing came across on the MediaTek Helio A20, it seems that this is a fresh addition to the category of low-power processors.

There is not much memory, but not to saygreedy - 3 GB of operational, 32 GB of internal flash. 5.5 ″ screen, HD + resolution, normal for this category. The main camera is 13 MP, single. Selfie camera is also not a masterpiece - a regular 5-megapixel module. Suddenly there is NFC. The fingerprint scanner is not observed.

There is a hardware programmable button that can be configured to use the device as a PTT radio, as an SOS button or to control a flashlight.

Protection against adversity is complete. Compliance with the IP68 standard allows you to heat the device, get dirty, wash and so on. The MIL-810G standard allows you to drop from a height of up to 1.8 meters (but take care of the glass, although it is DragonTrail Pro, it still beats).

Like other smartphones of this manufacturer, the S32 does not differ in cheapness - 299 € (20,600₽) at the start of sales.
