Test production of Tesla Cybertruck starts in August

Tesla plans to launch test production of Cybertruck electric pickups by the end of August.

Recently, Tesla CEO Elon Musk gave a Tesla Cybertruck production forecast at Tesla's annual shareholder meeting. He believed that about 250,000 new cars could be produced annually, but later added that it could be between 250,000 and 500,000.

As it became known, Tesla asks suppliersplan a baseline production of 375,000 Cybertrucks per year. The first Cybertruck candidate models (release candidates), also known as "pre-production vehicles", are scheduled to be released as early as the end of August. This is the last step before the official launch of production. According to the current plan, official mass production of the Cybertruck should start around the beginning of October.
