Tests of a plasma installation for satellites have been completed in Russia

In Russia, acceptance tests of a plasma power plant were passed, which will be used in the construction of satellites

The Russian Roskosmos reported that they had successfully tested new powerful engines for satellites. These engines, with the type name KM-75, will be used in future Russian satellites.

KM-75 engines were developed and tested in"Center of Keldysh", and the inspection and testing was carried out by experts from the company "Reshetnev". These tests were carried out in real conditions on satellites of the geostationary class.

The uniqueness of the KM-75 lies in the fact that itthe world's first powerful motors with a Hall type and higher voltage (800V), which is two to three times higher than other world and Russian analogues. This allows you to save about 40% of fuel.

It is important to note that the Keldysh Center is currently improving its production base for the mass production of KM-75 satellite thrusters.
