Russian users cannot download desktop version of WhatsApp

Users from Russia encountered difficulties when trying to download the WhatsApp messenger app on

computer, Kommersant reports.Downloading the desktop version of the messenger for Windows or Mac through the official website is not available as of the time of publication. Installing the PC program is currently only possible via a VPN, according to the publication. The download is also still available for Android or IOS devices. The administration of the messenger has not yet commented on the situation.
