Russian Post launched the country's first robotic parcel receiving and issuing point.

The robotic pick-up point started working inPetersburg, this is the first such solution where all the work on receiving and issuing parcels is carried out without the participation of people. The parcel is issued within one minute; to receive it, the client only needs to demonstrate a barcode and a confirmation code from SMS. Employees of the Russian Post are involved only in the process of loading parcels into the warehouse gateway. Upon loading the parcel into the warehouse, the client automatically receives a notification about the possibility of picking it up. With this warehouse machine you can send and receive parcels that do not require payment of customs duties, were not sent cash on delivery and whose dimensions do not exceed 560 x 315 x 375 mm. All warehouse equipment was created using domestic developments. The company will evaluate the efficiency of the system and, based on this data, will make a decision to expand the number of warehouses.
