Quake launched on smart watches Apple Watch (video)

Czech enthusiast Tomas Vajmazl managed to port the classic Quake to the Apple Watch. Now you can play the old-school shooter right on the small screen of your watch. True, it is very inconvenient.

Input devices turned out to be an amateur:for example, the camera can be moved vertically with the help of a “crank”, and microscopic movement buttons are displayed directly on the touchscreen. But if you wish, you can use the gyroscope by tilting the screen in the right direction.

The game runs at 640x480 resolution and60 fps or 1024x768 with reduced frame rate. Alas, the shooter cannot be downloaded from the Apple mobile app store - to install, you will need to compile the source yourself and upload it to your watch. Assembly instructions are on the author's GitHub.
