M.Video is testing a compact store format

The M.Video brand began testing a new store format - M.Compact with retail space of 500-600 square meters

The new format has an assortment comparable to standard stores - about 4.5 thousand models of household appliances and electronics on the trading floor. At the same time, it requires three times less investment for opening due to a new approach to design and layout. The stores use vertical trading equipment, which allows to present a larger number of goods per meter of sales area on several tiers, including large-sized equipment.

Three shops M.Compact has already appeared in Moscow, Zelenodolsk and Kazan, and several more stores will open in the near future, including in Ishimbay and Votkinsk, where the Group's stores will appear for the first time. Boris Ogarkov, Director of Network Development and Operations at M.Video-Eldorado Group, said that “M.Compact stores can reach the target level of profitability in the first year of operation.” According to the company, in 2022 the M.Video-Eldorado Group has maintained the scale of the retail network almost in full: the company has stores in 370 cities of Russia.
