Intel's 13th Generation Mobile Chipset Coming Soon

Raptor Lake, Intel's Latest 13th Generation Mobile Chipset, Coming Soon

Gizmochina. The highlight of the line will be the Intel Core i9-13980HX processor, which has 24 cores and a frequency of 5.6 GHz. The 24-core combination has never been supported by a laptop processor before, and Intel calls it "the world's fastest mobile processor." Intel claims that compared to the same 12th generation processors, the end result is up to 11% faster single-threaded performance and up to 49% faster multitasking performance. It is also claimed that gaming performance will be 12% higher than its predecessor. In addition, up to 128 GB of RAM is available with support for DDR4 (up to 3200 MHz) and DDR5 (up to 5600 MHz). The latest 13th Gen Intel HX mobile processors also support Bluetooth 5.2, Thunderbolt 4, and Wi-Fi 6E.

Flagship Intel Core i9-13980HX processorfeatures eight high-performance and 16 power-efficient cores on the same chip as 13th generation desktop processors. It has twice as many efficient cores as the previous Core i9-12950HX, but the same number of high performance cores. It's all included in a 55-watt chip that's designed to work with the latest discrete mobile GPUs for high-performance tasks and gaming. The 13th generation Intel P-series 28W thin and light and 15W U-series ultralight, foldable and other models are available for notebooks with less demanding performance requirements. With a maximum turbo frequency of 5.2 GHz and support for DDR4 and DDR5, P-series processors can support up to 14 cores (six performance/eight power efficiency). The flagship U-series processor (i7-1365U) has a maximum frequency of 5.2 GHz and only 10 cores (two high-performance and eight power-efficient).
