CineBeam 4K UHD - a new line of projectors from LG (4 photos)

New line of CineBeam 4K UHD projectors fromLG Electronics, which will be introduced to Europeans for the first time at IFA 2019, has been designed to meet the growing demand for one-stop solutions for Smart Home Cinema. The first LG Ultra Short Throw 4K Laser Projector (UST) 4K UHD CineBeam Laser (model HU85L) and the LG 4K UHD CineBeam LED 4K projector (Model HU70L) are capable of creating amazingly clear large-scale images. They will go on sale in Europe next month.

Thanks to innovative laser and LEDcolor wheel-less technology, both 4K UHD projectors deliver superior image quality and incredible color accuracy. The new technology helps both models create more accurate and clear images compared to traditional color wheel Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology. In addition, it actually eliminates side visual effects such as the rainbow effect, clouding, and color distortion.

The HU85L has received many awards, including2019 CES Innovation Award, Red Dot Design Award and iF Design Award. It uses a three-channel laser system for forming colors with separate laser sources of red and blue light, with green, which is created using another blue light source and exclusive LG technology without a color wheel. This unique configuration provides surprisingly accurate color reproduction in 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and color processing up to 12 bits for incredibly detailed and vivid images up to 2700 ANSI lumens. And thanks to UST technology, the LG HU85L can be installed just 5.6 centimeters from the wall to get a 90-inch projected image, or 18 centimeters to get an impressive 120-inch image.

HU70L more compact projector allowsGet a vibrant home cinema experience with deep and rich images up to 140 inches in size and 1500 ANSI lumens. The projector uses a newly designed light source that provides 92% of the color gamut of DCI-P3. It uses four LEDs to form red, green and blue, and the fourth LED is used to increase the brightness and contrast of the image, which creates brighter colors with many shades of color (compared to conventional LED projectors) due to the dynamic adjustment of green levels.

Thanks to the support of the HDR10 standard, newLG projectors will delight viewers with realistic images with deeper blacks and brighter colors. TruMotion technology makes images even more realistic, providing a smooth and natural display of all movements on the screen. Using LG’s six-speed 4K upscaler allows viewers to watch Full HD content in ultra-clear 4K resolution. Both CineBeam projectors provide many options for streaming content, as well as various connection options, including USB, HDMI, Ethernet, and wireless image dubbing (Android and iOS devices). Thanks to LG webOS 4.5’s recognized solution, users can directly access popular streaming applications such as Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, etc. using the intuitive proprietary Magic Remote with backlit buttons for ease of use even in the darkest rooms.

“Our new 4K projectors are versatile enough,to work equally well both at home and in the office, ”said Jang Ik-hwan, Head of IT Business at LG. “By introducing innovations that take image quality and user experience to a whole new level, LG is redefining the concept of a modern projector and continuing to push the boundaries.”

Both LG 4K UHD CineBeam Laser and LG 4K UHD CineBeam LED projectors will be unveiled in Berlin at the Ellington during the IFA 2019.
