Announcement. Honor Play 30M is a simple 5G smartphone for China

Honor has launched a low-cost 5G smartphone Honor Play 30M in China (in the original, the name is written in hieroglyphs - 荣耀畅玩30M).

Nothing fundamentally new.A light modification of the Honor Play 30 smartphone announced in the spring. Added a depth sensor and a fingerprint scanner, changed the set of colors. The appearance of the island of cameras has slightly changed. Everything else is identical. Iron, screen, battery, housing.

By the way, about the body.Cases are gradually becoming as standard components as everything else. Here is exactly the same case as in the Play 30 / Play 30M, used in at least four more smartphones from Honor - Play 6C, X8 5G, X6, X6s. At the same time, the devices do not look identical outwardly - thanks to a slightly different arrangement of cameras and colors. However, they all have the same body. Accurate to fractions of a millimeter.

About the characteristics.

Pretty rare Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ chipset. (Light upgrade of Qualcomm Snapdragon 480, of course). In AnTuTu we are waiting for around three hundred thousand points.

Memory. 6 GB operational, 128 GB permanent. There is support for memory cards.

Screen with low resolution, only 720 × 1600 (270 ppi). And no increased refresh rate. Standard diagonal, 6.5″ (102 cm²).

The battery is capacious, 5000 mAh, but there is no fast charging. Only unconvincing 10 watts.

The cameras are very simple. 5 MP front and 13+2 MP rear.

What's good is dual-band Wi-Fi, Type-C, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

What's bad - there is no NFC-module.
