Redmi 9

Redmi 9 is on sale on AliExpress with might and main. The minimum current price I managed to find is $ 129 (₽9420) for the 3 + 32 GB version.

9A and 9C have not yet reached Aliexpress. For 9A, we know the Malaysian price - 319 ringgit - about ₽5250 ($ 74.5) - for version 2 + 32 GB. 9C is more expensive, 429 ringgit - about ₽7060 ($ 100) - for the same 2 + 32 GB.

Iron. Redmi 9 buzzes on the solid MediaTek Helio G80 chipset (about 200,000 AnTuTu points). 9A and 9C - on the brand new Helio G25 and Helio G35 chipsets, respectively. So new that their performance is still unknown. Approximately a little more than a hundred thousand AnTuTu points, which by modern standards is simply indecently weak. Although for five thousand rubles, of course, it’s a sin to complain. It is curious that all three of these chips are in the same Helio G line and are positioned as gaming ones. How can I consider a gaming chipset with such a performance, I do not understand. We are waiting for the first reviews and reviews.

Memory. Redmi 9 exists in a variety of options. RAM 3 or 4 GB, permanent - from 32 to 128 GB. 9A and 9C so far exist only in a very modest version of 2 + 32 GB. Most likely, other varieties will appear in the future.

All three smartphones have an IPS matrix of 6.53 ″ with a small drop-shaped neckline. But Redmi 9 has FHD + resolution (395 ppi), while younger comrades are content with modest HD + (269 ppi). And saving, and with games will be easier.

With batteries, everything is about the same. 5000 mAh and a moderately fast charge of 10 watts.

Front cameras. 8 MP for Redmi 9, 5 MP for the youngest.

The main cameras. In Redmi 9 they put a quad camera, albeit a modest one - 13 + 8 + 5 + 2 MP (main, wide, macro, depth). 9C cameras have three - 13 + 5 + 2 MP (no macro). 9A is unique, here the camera is generally only one - 13 MP. We are waiting for examples of photos. But something tells us that none of the three devices will shine.

What else is worth mentioning. The 9A does not have a fingerprint scanner. Only Redmi 9 has an NFC module, and not all varieties have it. The elder's USB is modern, Type-C. As for the younger ones, it is not very clear yet.

Wi-Fi is single-band in all but the Chinese (i.e. non-global) versions of Redmi 9.

Morality. Redmi 9A is a fairly sensible, albeit weak, smartphone. But cheap. For younger students, older parents, etc. Why Redmi 9C is needed remains a mystery to me. A lot weaker than Redmi 9. Well, yes, cheaper. But not very much. Although we have not yet seen prices for Aliexpress. We wait.
