Announcement. Oukitel RT5 is an inexpensive but rugged tablet

Oukitel has almost announced itsanother rugged tablet - Oukitel RT5. The tablet has already appeared in one of their many official stores on AliExpress. And this brings some confusion to the performance characteristics, because the page on Ali was clearly made very carelessly. In short, some inaccuracies are possible.

Let's start with the chipset.When you go to Ali - do not believe your eyes. So what if the first picture shows Helio P22? In fact, the tablet uses a somewhat nicer and more powerful MediaTek MT8788. (I was not even too lazy to ask the store again. They agreed that yes, indeed MT8788, but they are not in a hurry to redraw the picture). In short, we expect about two hundred thousand points in AnTuTu.

There is a lot of modern memory. 8 GB operational, 256 GB permanent. You can also put an additional memory card (hybrid tray).

The screen is simple and classic. Diagonal 10.1″ (296 cm²), resolution 1920×1200 (224 ppi). Work with gloves is supported.

I can’t say anything about protection, except for a trivial set of abbreviations. IP68, IP69K, MIL-STD-810. The tablet is not afraid of water. And, most likely, it will painlessly survive small falls.

The battery pleases with the volume - as much as 10,000 mAh. Charging seems to be slightly accelerated - 33 W - but this is inaccurate.

The cameras are simple single, 16 MP each in front and behind.

There is support for LTE networks. Android fresh, thirteenth. Weight unknown.

The Oukitel RT5 will cost $199.99 (₽16,500) at the launch sale (from May 22).
