Motorola has announced a new smartphone. And I named it Moto G9 in India, and in all other countries - Moto G9 Play. It remains to release something else in India under the name “Moto G9 Play” - and the job will be done. Everyone will be completely confused in everything.

The smartphone is not particularly interesting - typical“Initial intermediate level”. The only curious detail is the chipset. The Moto G9 is the first smartphone based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chip.

Into the hands of reviewers and ordinary Moto G9 usersUntil I got there, there are no synthetic test results. But judging by the available information, the Snapdragon 662 is very close to last year's Snapdragon 665 chipset. And, most likely, it will have about the same performance. Memory. 4 GB of RAM, 64 or 128 GB of constant. Apparently, the 128 GB version will not be sold in all countries. There is support for memory cards, but the tray is hybrid.

The screen is the weak link. Large (6.5 ″ IPS), but the resolution is only 720 × 1600 (270 ppi).

But the battery is good, as much as 5000 mAh with moderately fast fast charging.

The set of cameras is modest by modern standards. Frontal 8 MP, rear trio 48 + 2 + 2 MP (main module, depth sensor, macro).

NFC support is available in both Europe and India. But it is warned that somewhere else it may not be.

Wi-Fi dual band. USB is modern. There is no support for 5G networks.

About money. In India, everything is quite humane - ₹ 11,499 (₽11,400, $ 154) for the only 4 + 64 GB version sold there. In theory, this price was announced as a promotional one, in honor of the start of sales. But we all understand everything ... The European price is less pleasant - € 169.99 (₽14,900, $ 201) for the same 4 + 64 GB (Germany, Holland, I have not tested other countries).

Whether it will reach Russia is unknown. Basically, why not. Moto G8 is on sale here.
