Announcement. Blackview Oscal S70 is a duplicate of a budget armored smartphone

Doubling is a dangerous business. It drags on. It is simply impossible to stop.

Oscal is a subsidiary brand of Blackview. And under this brand, the Oscal S70 armored car smartphone was announced today.

As far as I can tell the Oscal S70 isplus or minus an exact copy of the Blackview BV5300 smartphone announced in April. Why plus or minus? Apparently, the Oscal S70 does not have an NFC module. And for the Blackview BV5300, its presence, it seems, was announced.

Let's look at the characteristics.

With “defenses” everything is traditional.They promise IP68, IP69K, MIL-STD-810H. Those. before us is a full-fledged armored car smartphone that is not afraid of water and is able (probably) to withstand small drops on hard surfaces.

The chipset is weak. Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22. At best, we are waiting in AnTuTu in the region of one hundred thousand points.

RAM is only 4 GB. Permanent - 32 GB. Support for memory cards is available. The tray, judging by the pictures, is normal, not a hybrid.

The battery capacity is decent, 6580 mAh. The charging speed is low - 10 watts.

The screen is simple and (by modern standards) completelymedium-sized. Only 6.1″ (91 cm²). A resolution of 720×1560, which gives 282 ppi, is not so bad. There is no increased refresh rate, of course. But work in gloves is supported.

The front camera has a resolution of 5 MP. The rear block looks triple, but, apparently, there is only one real camera. Thirteen megapixels.

There are no fingerprint scanners. Wifi hopefully dual band. I believe that USB is Type-C. Although neither one nor the other is mentioned in the specifications.

How much Blackview Oscal S70 will cost, we don't know yet. Hardly very expensive.

The Blackview BV5300 twin is now on sale on AliExpress for $179 (₽14,900). So we are looking forward to something similar. (As for me, a little expensive for such modest characteristics).
