The series is based on the comic book series of the same name.created by Neil Gaiman back in the late 80s. They tried to make a movie based on these comics, starting in the 90s, but it didn’t work out. The last and most successful attempt was in 2016, Joseph Gorden-Levitt was even signed for the lead role. But something didn’t work out again, and in 2019 the idea of ​​​​a script created by Gaiman themselves was bought by Netflix.

Something special from the series, I think you should not expect. At least the trailer shows that the budget was minimal. However, it is possible that the story and the acting of the actors will redeem the love of the audience.

In any case, this is an excuse to find and read the original Neil Gaiman comic. There are a lot of comics out there. The original series ran from 89 to 95. But you can read the first 8 issues.

Decided to talk about the movie, because it's Koreanan action thriller that visually resembles The Raid. There is, of course, a slight racism here, since The Raid is an Indonesian film. But the essence is the same: a strong action movie, where there is more action than reasoning.
