Sigma mobile X-treme PQ38 - protected double with super battery

Let's get acquainted. Sigma mobile X-treme PQ38 is a new secure smartphone for the Ukrainian market. Low-power, but with an extremely capacious battery.

Apparently, PQ38 is a clone of a smartphoneOukitel WP5 (Fall 2019). Formally, some characteristics are slightly different. But this can be attributed to rounding errors. Two cameras, three cameras ... Who's counting them.

Oukitel WP5

Protection. Declared unsinkability (IP68)."Can" be dropped from a height of up to one and a half meters. Working temperature range - from -20 ° C to + 55 ° C. Oukitel WP5 in this respect, by the way, is less modest - from -55 ° C to + 70 ° C.

The chipset is weak. MediaTek Helio A22 2018. Only four cores, in total in the region of seventy thousand AnTuTu points.

RAM is either 3 or 4 GB (one is indicated in the characteristics, another is indicated in the text description). Permanent memory 32 GB. There is support for memory cards, but the tray is hybrid.

An insane capacity battery - 8000 mAh. For the capacity, as usual, we pay in size and weight - a third of a kilogram. Supports pumpExpress fast charging (18 W, apparently).

The screen is small. Either 5.45 ″, or 5.5 ″ IPS-matrix, Gorilla Glass 3. The resolution is not very high - 720 × 1440. But on a small screen this gives a perfectly normal 295 ppi.

5MP front camera. The main one seems to be double - 13 + 0.3 MP. Although the pictures show that there are three "eyes".
(Oukitel WP5, they say, has a triple camera - 13 + 2 + 2 MP).

There is no NFC support. There is confusion about the Wi-Fi ranges, about the gyroscope too. But USB is correct, Type-C. And a fingerprint scanner is available.

There is no information on the cost yet. Oukitel WP5 can now be purchased on AliExpress for $ 109 (₽8390).
