Medvedev believes that Russians support Internet piracy

The fight against Internet piracy may beeffective only in the case of joint work of regulatory bodies and citizens of the state, said Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. At present, confrontation with pirates in Russia is ineffective, and this is partly the fault of the Russians.

Despite significant progress in businessthe eradication of pirated resources, according to the head of government, Russian citizens have not yet developed respect for copyrights. This is especially true for resources distributed on the Internet. People are accustomed to the idea that everything in the virtual space should be distributed free of charge. Medvedev believes that only the development of respect for property can ensure the high efficiency of the fight against pirates.

During a conversation with reporters, the prime minister also said that rumors about blocking YouTube are groundless and video bloggers can not worry about losing their jobs.
