Without much noise and pathos, Googleannounced its new operating system - KataOS. According to representatives of the search giant, the novelty was created for installation on smart gadgets. At the same time, the emphasis in it was placed on security - it is believed that the OS will be used in various devices that need data protection.
The system is based on the Antmicro platform andseL4 microkernel. KataOS is already available as an open source operating system for everyone. The project code can be found on its official GitHub repository.
Recall that in 2022, Google has already released a new operating system. Then it was Chrome OS Flex, designed for use on computers.
