belated. Moto X30 Pro - 322 megapixel flagship

Don't be scared.322 megapixels is, of course, the total resolution of all smartphone cameras. Although still impressive. And yes. We have a sensor debut. Moto X30 Pro is the world's first smartphone with a Samsung ISOCELL HP1 photo sensor with a record resolution of as much as 200 MP. This sensor was announced last fall. But, as you can see, we had to wait almost a year for his real appearance in the flesh.

What to expect from Samsung ISOCELL HP1, personally for me yetnot very clear. Well, yes, the sensor is rather big, 1/1.22″. But it’s a no brainer that few people will take pictures at all 200 MP (although there seems to be such a mode). The main shooting mode, if I understand correctly, is with a grouping of 16 pixels into one, i.e. the resolution will be trivial, 12.5 MP.

Here's what's confusing.Moto X30 Pro is a rather sophisticated device. Flagship chipset, serious screen, ultra-fast charging, impressive set of cameras. But at the same time, his price is quite humane. So I have a big suspicion that this 200-megapixel sensor is not particularly expensive. And, most likely, stunning success in the field of photography from a smartphone is not to be expected. Although I'd be happy to be wrong. Let's wait for the reviews and photo duels.

The rest of the cameras are not so interesting, but also quite serious. Wide-angle resolution of 50 MP (can be a macro camera) plus a simple 12 MP portrait telephoto camera.

The front camera is equipped with a mniVision sensorOV60A with a resolution of as much as 60 MP. At the same time, the sensor has a rather modest size, 1/2.80″. And, strangely, no one except Motorola uses it in their devices. Exclusive?

With iron, everything is simple, understandable, at ease. The chipset is the most powerful, i.e. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 (I usually remind you of a million-plus points in AnTuTu). 8 or 12 GB of RAM, from 128 to 512 GB of permanent memory. Support for memory cards, of course, no.

There is one problem with the screen. For some reason, the officially published characteristics of the smartphone indicate that the matrix here is not OLED, but IPS. But, most likely, there is a place to be a banal typo. Because next to it it is indicated that the fingerprint scanner is built into the screen. And as far as I know, no one has yet learned how to do this with IPS screens. If they had learned, they would have trumpeted about it at every corner.

The screen is large, 6.67″ (107 cm²).The resolution is high, 1080×2400 (395 ppi). The refresh rate is up to 144 Hz. Everything is fine, but suddenly the fashion for screens that are very rounded from the sides has suddenly come out again. Crap. I hoped that she had long since been buried and forgotten.

Medium capacity battery, 4610 mAh. Charging is obscenely fast - 128 watts. There is also the possibility of wireless charging. Moreover, her speed is also off scale - 50 watts.

With the “other” section, everything is simple and clear. NFC, 5G, latest Wi-Fi, etc. All “our” LTE bands are supported.

Against the background of all the above characteristics, the price does not look frightening. ¥3499 (₽31600, $519), ¥3999 (₽36200, $594) and ¥4299 (₽38900, $638) for the 8+128, 12+256 and 12+512 GB versions respectively.
