In December, a few days before the New Year, a couple of gaming smartphones were announced in China.

In fact, these two are almost the same device. The difference is only in batteries, charging speed and amount of memory.

And now comes the global Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro. In fact, it is almost like Chinese. Just slowed down a bit. But more memory was poured. Here, let's put all three devices in a table for clarity.

And briefly recall the characteristics.

Iron.Naturally, the most powerful chipset available on the market, ie. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with fancy cooling system. And, by the way, one more possible difference from the “Chinese”. I do not see in the official description any references to an auxiliary additional proprietary chip R2.

The memory is top-end, LPDDR5x and UFS4.0.

Screens. AMOLED matrix, diagonal 6.8″ (112 cm²), high resolution 1116 × 2480 (400 ppi), refresh rate up to 120 Hz.

I already mentioned the battery. 6000 mAh, 65 W charging.

Cameras. 16 MP in front (moreover, the front camera is hidden under the screen). 50 + 8 + 2 MP rear - main camera, wide-angle, macro. The main camera sensor is quite solid Samsung ISOCELL GN5.

Other. There is a standard audio output, support for 5G networks, an NFC module, Wi-Fi 6E. The fingerprint scanner is located under the screen.

With gaming lotions, everything is relatively standard. Powerful vibration motor, stereo speakers, trigger keys.

And about money. For the Far Abroad, the prices announced are $649 (₽43,900) and $799 (₽54,000) for the 12+256 and 16+512 GB versions, respectively.

For Europe - €649 (₽47,500, $702) and €749 (₽54,800, $810).

The global Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro was clearly given out in advance to a number of English-speaking reviewers, so at the same time as the announcement, there was a mass publication of the first reviews. I hide a few things under the cat.
