The first prototype of the F (x) tec Pro 1 slider smartphonewith a QWERTY keyboard was showcased almost two years ago at the MWC 2019 in Barcelona. The engineers of the F (x) tec startup introduced some improvements to the prototype and, together with the online resource XDA Developers, brought an updated device under the Pro1-X brand to the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform. Currently, the project has been supported by about 1000 users who have invested over 620 thousand dollars in an unusual smartphone with the required 75 thousand. Meanwhile, there are still 12 days left until the end of the fundraising period.

The hardware of the new smartphone is practically notdifferent from the prototype shown in Barcelona in February 2019. The screen with AMOLED matrix and a diagonal of 5.99 inches, with a resolution of 2160 × 1080 is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. The slide-out QWERTY keyboard is equipped with physical buttons and is located under the main module of the smartphone.

The hardware of the Pro1-X smartphone runs onQualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor (2017 flagship). Depending on the modification, you can get a smartphone with 6 or 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of permanent memory, expandable using a microSD card up to 2 TB.

Autonomous work is supported by the batterycapacity of 3200 mAh. There is an NFC module, a front camera with an 8 megapixel sensor and a dual main camera with 12 and 5 megapixel sensors. The F (x) tec Pro 1 prototype was priced at $ 600, but the expansion of RAM (to use Lineage and Ubuntu Touch) forced manufacturers to increase the price of the Pro1-X model to $ 899.

In addition to having a physical keyboard, the newthe Pro1-X smartphone differs from standard devices in its ability to support multiple operating systems: Android 9, Ubuntu Touch OS and LineageOS. As a result, users will have more options and will be able to solve many tasks using the Pro1-X smartphone that are not available with traditional devices.
