A security robot on wheels has been developed (video)

The Swiss company Ascento presented the security robot Ascento Guard, which has a distinctive design with wheeled “legs” and a friendly, almost anthropomorphic “face”.

The robot is designed to patrol large open areas targeting industries such as manufacturing, data centers, pharmaceutical manufacturing and warehouses.

Unique wheel-foot formula Ascento GuardProvides precise movement on various surfaces. The robot is equipped with thermal and infrared cameras for surveillance, and if it detects a security threat, such as an intrusion, it can alert guards via a companion app. The robot moves at a speed of about 4.5 km/h, and two-way encrypted communication is carried out through built-in speakers and microphones.

Ascento Guard can deploy quickly, become virtually autonomous with programmable patrol schedules, and withstand a variety of weather conditions.
