How to save your mail, cloud data and social networks?

Experts from the Center for Digital Expertise of Roskachestvo give recommendations on how to quickly transfer information to Russian services so that it is not lost.

First of all, it is worth transferring mail from a foreign mailbox to a Russian
If you have a mailbox in a foreignmail hosting, you can painlessly transfer all letters to a hosting located in Russia. To do this, you can either set up a mail collector on the mailbox where you want to transfer letters from other accounts, or export the contents of the mailbox from which you are transferring information.

If your Apple ID is tied to a foreignmailbox, it is advisable to link your Apple account to Russian mail. This way you will retain access to your Apple ID if you cannot access a foreign e-mail address.

Don't forget to transfer data from Google and Apple cloud storage
In order not to lose important information storedon the servers of foreign services, it is better to take care of creating a backup right now. Important data, work files, photo archive can be stored on a foreign cloud, access to which may be limited. And this will mean the loss of access to the files themselves. All data must be transferred to the most secure place. It can be a smartphone, a hard drive of a computer or laptop, or maybe another cloud whose servers are located in the Russian Federation. For this, do not forget to create accounts in Russian services in time to receive cloud storage.

Russian companies use domestic hosting, where user information is stored in the cloud. It is Russian services that are responsible for the safety of data. Russian clouds protect personal data no worse than foreign services, observing all levels of protection in accordance with international security requirements,” explains Sergey Bodrov, head of the Center for Digital Expertise of Roskachestvo.

To export information, you canuse both internal resources of services and third-party applications. This will automate the process and eliminate the need to manually copy files.

How to replace popular social networks?
Some popular social networks have ceasedtheir work in Russia or limited their functionality for Russian users. The same applies to popular instant messengers that may stop working in Russia. Therefore, the issue of switching to alternative domestic sites is extremely relevant.

VK as an alternative for Instagram and TikTok
Domestic social network VKontakte offers downloading short videos (VK clips) and can become a hosting for photos.

YouTube replacement
Several Russian services can replace the popular video service at once. This is Video VK, Yandex. Zen, Yandex. Video and RuTube.

Transferring data from WhatsApp to Telegram
At the moment, it has become possible not only to gofrom one messenger to another, but also to export all your history and correspondence. You can save your data in two modes - text and full. In the first case, only your chats in WhatsApp will be saved, in the second case, not only the text, but also all media files. To transfer data to Telegram, you need to have the latest version of the application. In WhatsApp itself, you need to select the desired chat, select the "Export chat" option and select Telegram in the "Share" tab.
