Announcement. OPPO A55 5G - a little weird first smartphone on Dimensity 700

In China, announced OPPO A55 inexpensive smartphone with support for 5G networks. Interesting, perhaps, only because this is the first smartphone on the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset (with a built-in 5G modem).

And a keyhole. I got the impression that OPPO droplets have already been safely abandoned entirely and completely. But no.

The battery is good, the battery is capacious. Standard 5000 mAh. There is no fast charging, only 10 watts.

The set of cameras is very simple. Front camera 8 MP. Behind the trio 13 + 2 + 2 MP - the main module, wide-angle, depth sensor.

Apparently, there is no NFC support. The gyroscope is “virtual”, i.e. is absent. LTE frequencies are not ours, there are neither 7 nor 20 bands.

The price at the start of sales is not very high, only¥ 1599 (₽18400, $ 247). Although ... In the same China, you can buy a similar OPPO K7x smartphone on MediaTek Dimensity 720 for ¥ 1,499 (₽17,200, $ 231). The chip is a bit slower, yes. But otherwise everything is cooler - FullHD screen, fast charging, cameras ... What's the catch?
