Cubot KingKong AX can be considered closea relative of the Cubot KingKong 9, which went on sale almost a year ago. Only the battery has been halved, and the camera set has been redesigned. Plus Android has been refreshed. The appearance has changed a little. Perhaps some other little things, I don’t know.

The total result is a very reasonable looking armored car.

Nothing about the level of security of the deviceI can’t really say anything. I suspect that, as usual, they will sing a song about IP68, IP69K and MIL-STD-810. Those. There is one hundred percent protection against water and dust. Everything else is still in question.

The feature of the smartphone is the presence of two screens.

The main one is standard IPS, and even with an obsolete teardrop-shaped notch. But the refresh rate is high, up to 120 Hz. Diagonal – 6.58″ (104 cm²). High resolution – 1080×2408 (401 ppi).

It is known about the auxiliary screen that it is round and that its diagonal is 1.3″. The matrix type and resolution, unfortunately, are questionable.

Iron. Our precious MediaTek Helio G99. So there is no support for 5G networks and there is quite decent performance (~450K in AnTuTu).

Lots of memory. Honest 12 GB of RAM, 256 GB of storage. Memory cards are supported.

The battery has shrunk from 10600 mAh to the average 5100 mAh. The charging speed has not changed – 33 W. The weight of the device decreased from 390 to 296 grams – i.e. palpable.

Cameras. 32 MP front, 108+5+0.3 MP rear.The night camera disappeared, the macro camera was left. The main camera sensor was replaced with a larger and more solid one. Instead of OmniVision OVA0B40 (1/1.8″) we installed Samsung ISOCELL HM2 (1/1.52″).

Other. There is an NFC module and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. No standard audio output.

How much will Cubot KingKong AX cost so far?unclear. A page on AliExpress has already appeared, but so far it shows a clearly inflated price. I believe it should be around $200 (₽19,200) or even a little lower.
