Announcement. Xiaomi Poco M6 Pro - Indian double of an Indian smartphone

Last Saturday, while I thoughtfully and tastefully collected mushrooms and berries, Xiaomi introduced a smartphone in India called
Poco M6 Pro.

Double, double again. Almost. From the other “Indian” Redmi 12 5G and from the “Chinese” Redmi Note 12R, our Poco differs only in colors and back design.

Let's look at the characteristics.

Iron. Fresh Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.Sharpened for low-cost devices with support for 5G networks, made according to the 4 nm process technology. I don't have performance statistics yet. But Xiaomi in its advertising promises ~450K in AnTuTu, which is quite drawn to the modern middle class.

Memory. Not enough. Operational - 4 or 6 GB, permanent - 64 or 128 GB. (Redmi 12 5G has a more interesting version - 8 + 256 GB).
There is support for memory cards, but to get it, you have to sacrifice a second SIM card - a hybrid tray.

IPS screen. Large - 6.79″ (109 cm²). Typical resolution is 1080×2460 (396 ppi). The refresh rate is slightly increased - 90 Hz.

The battery is standard, 5000 mAh. The charging speed is increased, but only a tiny bit - 18 watts.

The set of cameras is modest. 8 MP front, 50+2 MP rear. The sensor, judging by the declared pixel size, is popularly loved by Samsung ISOCELL JN1.

There is no NFC module. There is no gyroscope either. Side fingerprint scanner. There is Type-C, a fifth Wi-Fi, an IR blaster and a standard audio output.

There is no support for the LTE bands we need.

The Poco M6 Pro will cost ₹10,999 (₽12,700, $134) and ₹12,999 (₽15,000, $158) for the 4+64 and 6+128 GB versions, respectively.

Brother Redmi 12 5G costs a little more – ₹11999 (₽13800, $146), ₹13499 (₽15600, $164) and ₹15499 (₽17900, $188) for versions 4+128, 6+128 and 8+256 GB respectively.

Well, the Chinese Redmi Note 12R with the same amount of memory can be bought for ¥1099 (₽14500, $153), ¥1199 (₽15800, $167) and ¥1799 (₽23700, $250).
