Samsung's new Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion laptops

Samsung engineers introduced as part ofSamsung Developer Conference events are two new notebook models: Galaxy Book Flex and Galaxy Book Ion. Each ruler has two types of computer diagonal sizes: 13 and 15 inches.

Galaxy Book Flex Notebook Hardwareruns on 10th generation Intel Core chips (Ice Lake), the amount of RAM LPDDR4X, depending on the configuration, reaches 16 GB. PCIe NVMe SSD storage capacity reaches 1 TB. Confidentiality is provided by a fingerprint sensor. There are two Thunderbolt 3 connectors, one USB-C, there is a slot for expanding the microSD memory. Autonomous operation will be ensured by a 69.7 Wh battery.

The mass of Galaxy Book Flex laptops in a 13-inchversion 1.15 kg, and for 15 inch weight increases to 1.52 kg and up to 1.57 kg for modification with a discrete graphics card NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (2 GB of memory GDDR5).

Galaxy Book Flex laptops support technologySamsung Wireless PowerShare, which allows you to charge devices using wireless Qi technology through the touch panel. The laptops are equipped with stereo speakers AKG.

Galaxy Book Ion Series also has twoscreen options: 13- and 15-inch with QLED monitors with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080px). Outdoor mode is also supported, providing a brightness of 600 nits. However, in this series the computer screen is ordinary, not touch.

Depending on the configuration for both modelsGalaxy Book Ion laptops provide for the installation of RAM up to 16 GB and the main PCIe NVMe SSD: up to 1 TB. The only difference is the presence in an older laptop with a screen diagonal of 15 inches, additional slots for SODIMM allowing you to expand the RAM by 16 GB and for another SSD drive.

The price of new laptops has not yet been announced, and the start of sales is scheduled for December 2019.
