Project Trio - a laptop with three screens (7 photos)

In the face of fierce competition manufacturersModern laptops are striving to diversify new models with diverse functions that enhance the capabilities of users. A year ago, Mobile Pixels startup raised funds for the Duo project, a device for a laptop with an additional sliding screen.

On two Kickstarter crowdfunding platforms andIndiegogo raised over $ 2 million and launched the production of devices under the “Duex” brand. Users warmly made such a decision and expressed the wish to increase the number of additional screens to two. So the idea of ​​a device for a laptop under the brand Trio was born.

The Trio design is a rigid frame,on magnets attached to the back of the laptop lid. Additional displays are mounted on the frame with the help of various brackets, which allow you to rotate the screens by changing the position from landscape to portrait, and expand the display plane at different angles to the user. Each screen can work separately, or can be turned off if necessary. Desktop monitors automatically adjusts to a specific position of the screen.

Trio model can be used with 13 and 14inch laptops, connecting two additional display with 12.5 inch diagonals. The resolution of each additional monitor is 1080p. Weight - 680 grams.

Model Trio Pro is designed to expand the capabilities of laptops with a diagonal of 15 - 15.6 inches. The top series of the device adds two 14-inch Full HD resolution screens.

All connections in the device are via USB ports. The screens are connected to the frame, and the frame - to the laptop.

Trio pre-order for 12.5inch extra screens cost $ 179. Two monitors can be bought for 349 dollars. The Trio Pro model is priced at $ 199, and two additional 14-inch screens cost $ 389. Start of production of devices is scheduled for early 2020.
