In addition to products, household items such as personal hygiene products, matches, pet food, and so on can be added to the list of socially significant goods. On the list of essential foodsincludes meat, dairy, bakery and other kinds of products from which you can cook simple and hearty meals. The category of socially significant meat products includes pork, beef, lamb and chicken meat, but there is no boneless meat and chicken legs in it. Also on the list are frozen fish, drinking milk with a fat content of 2 to 3.2%, chicken eggs, sugar, salt, bread, black tea, wheat flour of the first and highest grade, as well as pasta. Vegetables with fruits are also not forgotten: potatoes, onions, white cabbage, carrots and apples are also vital for the human body.

In order to prevent a shortage of products in difficult times like a pandemic, retail chains are sometimes allowed to limit the sale of certain socially significant products to one person. This means that shops have the right not to sell sugar, salt, flour, and so on in large quantities to one person. Such a restriction makes it possible to ensure that there is enough food for all people.

Alcohol and chips, of course, are not included in the list of essential products.

According to open sources, regional authorities can expand the list of essential products by issuing their own order. But no one has the right to remove products from the list.

Non-food essentials

These include laundry and hand washing soap, toilet paper, baby diapers and nappies, motor gasoline, pet food and medicine, and matches.
