At the same time, the service has recently lost a number of key team members. Initially, Rutube wanted to receive 50-55 billion rubles for the purpose of updating. The service intends to increase server capacity in such a way that the maximum number of simultaneous users can be compared with the indicators of the Russian segment of YouTube users. One of the objectives of the project is to expand the content delivery network (CDN). CDN provides distribution of content across servers geographically located in different locations. Servers will be placed in Russia, Abkhazia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Uzbekistan. Experts estimate the needs of Rutube in servers at the level of 15 thousand units.
