According to research firm TrendForce, global smartphone production in the first quarter

this year decreased by 12.8%.The top five global smartphone makers accounted for 78% of total production in the first quarter. Samsung regained the top spot with 73.8 million devices. The company managed to increase sales by supplying smartphones from the flagship Samsung Galaxy S22 line. It is noted that given the location of the main production of Samsung smartphones in Vietnam, South Korea and India, she managed to avoid problems associated with lockdowns in mainland China. The top five market leaders are Apple, Xiaomi, OPPO and Vivo with the results of 19.3%, 14.3% 13.1% and 7.6% respectively. According to forecasts, the shares of Samsung and Apple in the current quarter of this year will decrease to 22.8% and 14.5%, respectively.
