The smartphone market in North America grew by 4%

According to the research company Canalys, in the first quarter of this year, shipments of smartphones in North

America amounted to 39 million devices, up 3.7% higher than the same period a year earlier. Apple increased its sales by 19% and occupied a total of 51% of the North American market with shipments of 19.9 million devices. In second place was Samsung with a share of 27%, its sales increased by 1%, the company sold 10.5 million devices. The top three market leaders also include the Motorola brand, which has taken over most of the LG brand users. Motorola sold 4 million units, giving it a 10% share. Motorola achieved the largest sales growth of the top three during this period, with a 56% increase. Of note is the notable success of the Google brand, with 1.2 million smartphones sold, giving it a 3% market share and a record 380% sales growth.
