Sony at last year's CES 2020surprised her fans by showcasing a concept electric car powered by the Vision-S platform. Already at the current CES 2021, Sony developers announced the beginning of real tests of a prototype of a branded electric car, taking place on the roads of Austria.
A demonstration was presented at the exhibitionvideo showing the Sony Vision-S electric car driving along snow-covered tracks in the picturesque regions of Austria. At the same time, Sony engineers still do not disclose the technical characteristics of the car. Therefore, today it is only known that the Sony Vision-S will presumably be equipped with two 200 kW electric motors, and the acceleration time from 0 to 100 km / h will be 4.8 seconds.
Sony developers talked about the systemautonomous driving of the second level, installed in a prototype tested on real roads. However, in the future, the car can receive more advanced autonomous control systems. To date, there are no data on plans to start production of the car from Sony.
