Huawei demonstrated in Munich the latestthe family of flagship smartphones is the Mate 30. The older version, Pro, gave the OLED Horizon Display with a diagonal of 6.53 inches and a resolution of 2400 x 1176 pixels. This is a “waterfall” screen, similar to the Vivo Nex 3. The edges of the display are bent by 88 degrees, while receiving the effect of flowing down.
These faces also allow you to adjust the sound andto control the camera. To change the volume, just swipe your finger down or up, to take a selfie - click on the edge. The option, if necessary, is disabled in the settings.
The moderate bangs placed on top are neater andmore modest than the iPhone. It is curious that a lot of time was devoted to the news of the competitor at the presentation of Huawei. But the emphasis was on the winning sides of the Mate 30: the thickness of the frames, the size of the displays with the same dimensions, and the battery capacity.
In the neckline of new products from Huawei, they placed not only a selfie camera, but also a motion sensor. It allows you to control your smartphone with gestures, for example, take screenshots and “scroll” pages even with dirty hands.
Under the screen there is a fingerprint scanner. There is Always-on Display mode and protection against moisture and dust according to the IP68 standard. The flagship runs on Huawei's top-end Kirin 990 processor. RAM capacity - 8 gigabytes, ROM - 128 or 256 gigabytes. There are 2 slots for SIM cards, one - USB Type-C 3.1, as well as NFC.
Battery capacity - 4500 mAh with support for fast charging at 40 watts and wireless charging at 27 watts. Reverse charging is also available, which allows the smartphone to charge other gadgets wirelessly.
Inside there are 21 antennas. 14 of them support 5G. If you compare the new product with the Samsung Note 10+ 5G, then the Mate 30 Pro works faster in 5G, heats up less and does not consume energy like that. The main camera, made in the style of elements of classic cameras, is well made. Its sensors were placed in a round module.
Main sensor - SuperSensing has 40megapixels, f / 1.6 and RYYB sensor. He debuted in the Huawei P30 Pro and performed well in low light. There is also a second sensor with a wide-angle lens of 40 megapixels and f / 1.8, a third sensor is a telephoto lens with 8 megapixels and f / 2.4, and a fourth sensor is a 3D module (ToF). The novelty has a built-in triple optical and 30x digital zoom.
You can shoot super slow motion videos onspeeds of 7680 frames per second with a resolution of 720 pixels or 960 frames per second with a resolution of 1080 pixels. ISO is supported up to 51200, on the video you can blur the background.
The younger version (Huawei Mate 30) has a flat6.62-inch AMOLED display with 2340x1080 resolution and 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. Above, again, there is a bang, but smaller than that of the Pro-model. A fingerprint scanner is hidden under the screen. The smartphone is protected against splashes and dust according to the IP53 standard, has an Always-on Display mode.
Inside is a similar Kirin 990 processor fromHuawei, as well as 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM and 128 gigabytes of ROM. The 4200 mAh battery supports fast charging: 40 watts in normal mode and wireless - 27 watts.
The style of the main camera is the same - a round module. True, the sensors are not 4, but 3: SuperSensing with 40 megapixels with f / 1.8, a wide-angle camera with 16 megapixels with f / 2.2, and a telephoto lens with 8 megapixels. Laser autofocus is provided.
Zoom: 3x optical and 30x digital. Macro shooting at a distance of 2.5 centimeters is supported. The front camera is 24 megapixels with f / 2.0.
