How reasonably does the consumer pay moremoney for top-end smartphones from leading brands, and whether the OnePlus flagship device can withstand the speed of a more expensive (60%) Samsung model, YouTube PhoneBuff experts checked.
To eliminate the subjective factor intesting the speed of launching applications, robotic manipulators were used, pushing with their mechanical “fingers” on touch screens to launch applications.
The test involved OnePlus 8 Pro (price$ 1,000) and Galaxy S20 Ultra ($ 1,600). The hardware of both devices is based on Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processors. The RAM is larger in the Samsung model and the Galaxy S20 Ultra has 16 GB, compared to 12 GB in the OnePlus 8 Pro. The flagship Samsung doubled twice the top model OnePlus and in terms of internal memory 512 GB UFS 3.0, against 256 GB UFS 3.0.
As a result of testing, it turned out that the launchapplications on the Galaxy S20 Ultra was produced in 2 minutes 23 seconds, and on the OnePlus 8 Pro in 2 minutes 30 seconds. Thus, the Samsung smartphone is faster than the OnePlus model by almost 5% in speed.
