The first commercial line of high-speed system Hyperloop will open in 2022

The first high-speed passenger lineHyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) will open in 2022, CEO Dirk Alborne said in an interview with CNBC. Recently, the company invited journalists to the newly opened testing ground, where they once again demonstrated the full-size HTT capsule, which they brought for the final tests. In the near future, the capsule is planned to be used for transporting passengers inside special closed vacuum lines at a speed of more than 1000 kilometers per hour.

Recall that the California company HyperloopTransportation Technologies was founded about 5 years ago, after the American businessman, Tesla and SpaceX owner Ilon Musk introduced the concept of a high-speed transport system in 2012. The second largest player in the growing field of Hyperloop is Hyperloop One, a subsidiary of Virgin.

From the very beginning, special attention to technologyclosed high-speed systems exhibited the United Arab Emirates. In 2020, HTT plans to build a 10-kilometer commercial branch in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, with the possibility of expanding it to Dubai, and then to the Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh, which is approximately one thousand kilometers.

For the first time full-size passenger versionHTT showed the capsules last year in Spain at a specially timed event. The other day, HTT brought the Quintero One capsule to Toulouse, where the final stage of its tests will be held. The company notes that "testing has already begun," but no details have yet been disclosed.

The HTT Quintero One passenger capsule weighs 5 tons and can travel at speeds of up to 1,200 km / h. The length of the capsule is 34 m, for one flight it can carry up to 40 passengers.
