The fight for the environment has reached a new level: a plant is being built that will remove carbon

The Swiss company Climeworks, which specializes in climate technology, is about to build a carbon capture plant.

Mammoth's new building is slated to use direct air capture technology, which removes massive amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere.

The flagship plant from Climeworks captures approximately 4,000 tons of CO2, while Mammoth should exceed these figures by several times.

The plant will be built in Iceland and it is expected that after its launch the situation in the region will improve significantly, because the work of Mammoth will be equivalent to removing almost 9,000 cars from the roads.
