SpaceX launches another constellation of 60 satellites under the Starlink project

The implementation of the plan of Elon Mask to createA worldwide satellite network for the distribution of the Internet throughout the Earth continues to be successfully implemented. The next group of satellites of the Starlink project, consisting of 60 aircraft, has been launched. The launch was carried out at 17 56 hours Moscow time from the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base (Florida) using Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40).

Concurrently with the launch of the new satellite squadronfor the Starlink program, SpaceX was able to demonstrate the capabilities of the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket, for which this is the fourth space flight. The last time the rocket launched the ArabSat-6A satellite into orbit in April of this year. Already after 8 minutes and 25 seconds after the start, the first step returned to Earth, landing on a floating platform.

Another element of the launch system, whichIlona Mask company reuses, became the head rocket fairing sent to space again. It was first used in space flight in June 2019. The use of reusable structures should significantly reduce the cost of launching rockets into space and make it more affordable to place satellites in orbit.
