Sony DSC-HX99 - a camera for people with vision problems (3 photos)

The novelty boasts a projection module,capable of transmitting an image directly to the retina. This technology was introduced primarily so that users with vision problems could also use the camera.

Retissa compact projector reportedlyNeoviewer, mounted on the camera, is capable of focusing images at 720p resolution and 8-bit color depth, with a horizontal field of view of 60 degrees and a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

Sony representatives noted that the novelty will be able toimprove the user experience for people with visual impairments such as astigmatism, nearsightedness and farsightedness. The battery life of the projector is up to four hours, and you can charge it via the microUSB port.

The special kit is priced at $599 and will go on sale in early summer 2023.
